About The Role

As a casual Assistant in Nursing, you will provide person-centred nursing care, domestic assistance and active support to people living with a disability around The Blue Mountains . The assistance required will depend on the client, however experience and confidence with personal care, manual handling (use of hoist) and medication management will be highly regarded. Due to the support needs of our clients, our Assistants in Nursing will work flexibly across a 24/7 roster, Monday to Sunday. This includes short shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality care for people with disability in line with their individual lifestyle plans through the provision of personal care and domestic assistance
  • Observe and report changes in clients’ health and daily living needs in a timely manner
  • Cooperate within a team to share information and ensure consistent service delivery
  • Complete required documentation to ensure accurate records are maintained
  • Report potential risks and safety hazards to maintain a safe work environment for all

Skills & Experience:

  • An Australian driver’s licence
  • Clear and honest communication and basic computer skills
  • Experience or a certification in manual handling preferred
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or 011
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, or similar

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
